Meet The Team

I have been fortunate in my life, having competed in 147 Formula One Grand Prix races. I am also a former World Superstox Champion (1973) and World Sportscar Champion, having won the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1992. I have achieved victories and championships in various categories, excluding Formula One. In 1989, Honda UK approached me to manage the Honda Franchise in Jersey, a decision that I consider one of the best in my life. I have a bit of OCD, so I strive to keep everything organized and tidy. I am grateful for the incredible support from my loyal customers, colleagues, and friends, with the core management team having been with me for 25 to 35 years since the beginning.

Margaret has been working with Derek Warwick Honda from day one and started as a p.a. to the directors which has developed over the years into the role of Finance Director. Margaret is a keen gym enthusiast and enjoys long walks with her dog, through the wonderful Jersey countryside. Became Shareholders of Derek Warwick Honda in 2003.

Miles joined Derek Warwick Honda in October 1989 and is the Managing Director. Miles is a keen rally driver and to date holds the award for being the youngest winner of the Jersey Rally in 1993. Miles won 2 National Rally Championship’s in 1997 and 1998 driving a Honda Civic that he built himself. He retired from Rallying in 2001 after competing in the International British Rally Championship in a Subaru Impreza and now does track days in France. Miles is married to Paula and lives with their two daughters in St Ouen. Became Shareholders of Derek Warwick Honda in 2003.

Mark is probably our best known member of staff as he is active in so many areas of Jersey life. Mark played in Le Rocquier Big Band for over 27 years as well as singing for a pastime, he has founded one of the Islands most popular bands, The Jersey Bounce. Mark lives in St Brelade, and is an avid Liverpool supporter.

George has been with us since July 1993, many of which as our Service Manager. George has been in the motor trade since leaving school and is himself a fully qualified technician with years of experience to draw from. George plays the trumpet for the Band of the Island of Jersey where he has been a member for over 38 years. When the weather is not nice enough to play golf George spends his pastime playing alongside Mark in the Jersey Bounce Big Band. George lives in St Clement with his wife Wendy and gorgeous daughter.

John is a Jerseyman through and through and started his career with us from school in 1998. John quickly became an indispensable member of staff and for many of the years, has been in control of our Parts department single-handedly. John is a keen golfer and when he is not hitting a ball around the course, you can see him and his partner Melissa walking their dog Murphy around the lanes of St Saviour.

Clair came to Jersey from Liverpool with her husband Peter in 1999 where she had already worked in the motor trade for over 12 years. Clair originally started at Derek Warwick Honda as a temporary receptionist but soon became a valuable member of staff who now controls all the vehicle administration of the dealership. Clair and Peter live in St Saviour and enjoy being out with friends and family.

Paul is a Jerseyman and has worked at Derek Warwick Honda since March 1998, so has expert knowledge on probably every model of Honda over the past 20 years. He is a keen martial arts expert and avid follower of Liverpool FC. Paul is married to Nina and lives in St Lawrence with their lovely young daughter.

John who is originally from Maderia, joined Derek Warwick Honda in February 2003. He is very much a family man who with his wife Maria, have four children and are now proud grandparents with two beautiful baby girls and one handsome baby boy. John lives in St Saviour and much of his spare time is spent with his grandchildren and travelling to Maderia.

Joel was born in Jersey, and is married with 1 child. He has been in the Motor trade for 29 years and has worked in various establishments. Over the years he has worked on everything from Reliant Robins to Artic lorries. In his spare time, Joel enjoys fishing and is an avid snooker fan.

Mark has lived in Jersey all his life and was brought up in the motor trade from a very young age. He has always had a massive passion for cars, anything mechanical and metal fabrication. Outside of work he is always working on cars and loves riding his BMX at the skatepark.

Lucy joined us after having previously worked in the Care Work industry for 4 years. She grew up around cars and motorbikes due to them being her family’s great love. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys cleaning her car, going to car shows and spending time with her friends and family.

After relocating from mainland UK to Jersey in 2015, I built a career in the motor trade spanning around 10 years following service in the armed forces. In October 2025, I joined Derek Warwick Honda, combining my passion for customer service with a long-standing interest in the automotive industry. Outside of work, I enjoy motorsports and spending time with family.

Born and raised in Jersey with Portuguese roots, motorsport has always been a big part of my life. I used to race motocross from the age of 6 until 13, which is where my passion for cars, bikes and anything automotive really started. I currently help with social media and create photo and video content at Derek Warwick Honda, alongside running my own automotive photography and videography business, SnapRideJSY, where I cover local car meets, hill climbs, private shoots and other automotive events across the island.
