Used Electric Cars for Sale in Jersey
Jersey is about as good a place to own an electric car as you’ll find. Most journeys are short, you can charge overnight at home, and there’s currently no Vehicle Emissions Duty on a fully electric car when it’s first registered on the island. Below is every used electric and plug-in hybrid car we have in stock right now, each one multi-point inspected, fully serviced and valeted before you collect it, with a 2-year parts and labour warranty as standard.
Why Electric Makes Sense in Jersey
- Short journeysMost island trips are only a few miles, so even a modest range lasts several days between charges.
- No Vehicle Emissions DutyThere’s currently no VED on a fully electric car when it’s first registered in Jersey. Plug-in hybrids pay on their CO₂ figure.
- Cheaper overnight chargingCharge at home off-peak, from midnight to 7am, for less than daytime rates. Your Jersey Electricity tariff sets the exact price.
- Already on the islandEvery car here is in Jersey now, so there’s no wait for the ferry and no import paperwork.

Electric, Plug-in or Hybrid?
Not every car with a battery works the same way. This page lists the first two types below.
Fully electric (EV)
No engine at all. You plug in to charge and drive on battery power alone. Nothing to fill up and no exhaust.
Plug-in hybrid (PHEV)
A petrol engine plus a battery big enough for most short trips on electric power. Charge it at home and you may barely use the engine around the island.
Hybrid (HEV)
The battery charges itself through braking and the engine, so there’s no cable and nothing to plan. Most of our used Honda hybrids work this way.
See hybrid cars →Mild hybrid (MHEV)
A small electric motor helps the engine rather than driving the car on its own. It saves a little fuel, but it can’t run on electric power.
Charging in Jersey
At home. Most owners charge on a wall box overnight and leave the house with a full battery every morning. Jersey Electricity’s off-peak hours run from midnight to 7am.
Out and about. Jersey Electricity’s Evolve network has public chargers around the island, from slower points for a top-up while you shop to rapid chargers when you need range quickly. Roughly what each speed adds:
Not every car can use the fastest chargers, so check the car’s maximum charging speed on its listing or ask us. See the Evolve charger map →
Buying a Used Electric Car From Us
Every electric and plug-in car we sell goes through the same preparation as the rest of our used range: a multi-point inspection, a full service and a full valet before you collect it, with a 2-year parts and labour warranty included. Battery health is the first thing most buyers ask about, and it should be, so ask our sales team about any car on this page. If you’re moving out of a petrol or diesel car, we’ll take it in part exchange. Value my car →
Can’t see the car you want? Our car sourcing service can find the exact make, model and specification you’re after.
Servicing Your Electric or Hybrid Car
As Jersey’s authorised Honda dealer, our workshop looks after Honda’s hybrid and electric models, including the Honda e and e:Ny1. Electric cars have fewer moving parts than a petrol car, but they still need regular checks on brakes, tyres, suspension, the cabin filter and the high-voltage system. Book a service →

Used Electric Cars in Jersey
It depends on the car. The smallest city cars cover around 80 to 100 miles, and larger models well over 200. For Jersey driving that usually means several days between charges. Each listing has the details for that car, and we're happy to talk through real-world range before you buy.
